KVA recognizes that club sports can be incredibly expensive, and we make every effort to keep costs as minimal as possible while offering programs such as the Hardship Fund to help eliminate financial barriers. Costs for an athlete's season typically total to a minimum of $2500 per athlete, and can be substantially higher depending on the team. For all traveling Club Teams:

Fees paid to the KVA are separated into 3 mandatory payments and 2 payments determined by participation. The 3 mandatory payments are called Commitment Fee, Team Fee, and Tournament Fee. The 1 or 2 payments determined by participation are Island Tournaments and National Tournaments, this is due to their considerably larger cost. KVA is aware that other programs have a simpler 1 payment model. KVA chooses to operate this way to keep costs as minimal as possible.

The Commitment Fee is the first fee to be paid and is due by January 1st for each respective season. The Commitment Fee is typically $300 and is utilized to cover a portion of the KVA's operating costs and jerseys.

The Team Fee is the second fee to be paid and is due by January 31st for each respective season. The Team Fee isn't determined until the team's roster is locked in (as late as January 15th) and the remainder of the KVA's and team specific operating costs are divided evenly amongst the team. For a full breakdown please see our annual budget, these costs typically range from $250 - $400.

The Tournament Fee is the third fee to be paid and is due by February 28th. The Tournament Fee is determined by which tournaments (excluding Nationals and Island Tournaments) the team decides to go to by majority vote and the registration costs for the applicable tournaments are divided evenly amongst the athletes regardless of participation.

Island Tournaments and National Tournaments registration costs are determined on a participation basis only. Meaning if an athlete is unable or unwilling to participate they are not obligated to pay.

Along with these costs there are Try-Out Fees, VBC Registration, Coaches' Fees and other travelling costs such as accommodation and food.

To register your athlete with VBC and pay the annual membership fee.  Please make sure you select the correct age category.
