Overview: 3 v 3 Grass Tournament.
Jr Girls Division (grades 7,8 9)
Sr Girls Division (grades 10,11,12)
Boys Division.
Boys teams can be co-ed but they will still compete in the boys division
Prizes for each division
Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be a max # of teams in a division to compete at the same time. We may split the day into two separate waves to accommodate this. This will be determined based on the registrations.
When: September 19th, 2020. Check in time will be determined once the schedule is in place and we know what the waves may look like.
Due to number of registrants already we are creating waves to let more teams play!
AM Wave: Jr Girls Check-in 8:30am. Games run 9am-1pm
PM Wave: Sr Girls & Boys, Check-in: 1:45pm, Games run 2pm-6pm
Equipment Cleaning/Disinfecting by staff will occur between waves
Enter->Play->Exit
AM Wave must exit by 1:15pm.
PM WAVE cannot enter before 1:45pm unless otherwise directed by staff
Maintain social distancing and wearing a mask is recommended while you are waiting to check-in.
Where: Parkcrest Park, Kamloops. Corner of Parkcrest Ave and Schreiner St in Brocklehurst

Game Format/Rules:
Games to 15, Must switch sides after 1st team reaches 8 points
Games will be self-reffed and scored
Courts are roughly 9mx9m
No Front/Back row positions. All players are considered “front row”
Server Must rotate as normal. No other positional rules
All other general volleyball rules in effect
Admin Rules:
Registered Teams Only. NO DROP INS/PICK-UPs
Max. 4 individuals per team, but only 3 allowed on court at a time.
All teams must register/pay using the online registration system.
NO CASH/CHEQUES THE DAY OF
Registration will close the evening of Wednesday September 16th
In the event that we fill up prior to that, we will have a waitlist option
Withdrawals on or before 9pm Wednesday September 16th will get a full refund
Withdrawals after 9pm Wednesday September 16th will get a refund minus $20 admin costs
We are required to provide a contact list of all participants to the City of Kamloops in case of contact tracking being required.
All participants MUST check-in prior to play. No Check In, NO PLAY
All participants MUST fill out and hand in the waiver prior to check-in on Sept 19th. NO Waiver, NO PLAY
All participants MUST fill out a Health Declaration form and hand in at check-in (8:30am) on Sept 19th. No Health Declaration Form, NO PLAY
IF you are feeling sick, with any cold/flu like symptoms. DO NOT COME.
Contact us right away and we can either see about getting a replacement for you on your team from the waitlist or if we can’t we will issue a full refund for your team.
NO SPECTATORS: To maintain adherence to COVID Guidelines no spectators will be allowed inside of the park. Registered Athletes and Staff only inside the fence
All athletes MUST maintain physical distancing at all times off of the courts/outside of matches.
Wearing a mask while off the court is encouraged
All teams will be guaranteed 5 matches.
There will be designated and marked “Entrance” and “Exit” locations at the park. Please adhere to these.
Further guidelines will be emailed/signage posted at site
Participants must use hand sanitizer when arriving/leaving and AFTER each match before they play their next match. AND prior to starting a new match if they were on a break.
We will have hand sanitizer and first aid on site
Port-a-potties will be on site
Make sure to read and understand the COVID 19 Safety/Return to Play Guidelines as outlined on our website (kvapack.ca)
Cancellation Policy
In the event of the tournament being cancelled we will issue full refunds to the credit card used to pay for the online registrations.
The tournament will NOT be cancelled “due to rain” unless there is a severe thunderstorm warning issued by the local weather office.
Outbreak Policy
In the event of an outbreak or suspected outbreak or exposure to COVID-19 we will inform the local Health Authorities and follow their guidelines.
We have been told that it is the local Health Authorities responsibility to follow up with participants
